CA Governor Says Trump Can’t Possibly Believe in God Because He Is A Climate Change Denier

California Gov. Jerry Brown doesn’t think President Donald Trump fears God.

California is reeling and whirling from its most destructive wildfire season ever.

Aggravated Governor Jerry Brown is blaming the effects of the fires on climate change.

As his aggravation continues to worsen, he says the fires are directly related to President Trump making a mistake by ignoring the facts of “global warming.”

Governor Brown feels that President Trump has made a horrible decision by pulling out of the Paris climate agreement and is hurting the US and does’t not truly fear God.

According to ijr:

California Gov. Jerry Brown doesn’t think President Donald Trump fears God.

While Trump identifies as Presbyterian and Brown as Catholic, the governor’s argument has nothing to do with theology.

Instead, the reason he thinks the president doesn’t fear God has everything to do with politics.

As California deals with catastrophic fires, Brown attributes the disasters to climate change. And he thinks Trump not believing in the theory is “preposterous.”

According to CBS News:

Brown told [“60 Minutes” correspondent Bill] Whitaker that President Trump is wrong to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement and misguided for calling it a bad deal for America. “That’s a preposterous idea, not even a shred of truth in that statement,” Brown said. “I don’t think President Trump has a fear of the Lord, the fear of the wrath of God, which leads one to more humility…  and this is such a reckless disregard for the truth and for the existential consequences that can be unleashed.”

Brown has pushed California to take aggressive measures to reduce its emissions. “We have a cap and trade system, which is a very efficient way to reducing greenhouse gases. We have zero-emission vehicle mandate. We have efficiency standards for our buildings, for our appliances. California is showing that dealing with climate is good for the economy, not bad,” says Brown.

According to a March 2017 Gallup poll, only 18 percent of Republicans worry about climate change, which in Brown’s eyes means the majority people in the GOP don’t have a “fear of the Lord.”

Trump has yet to respond to Brown’s comments.
