CNN’s Daniella Diaz should be ashamed for her tweet mocking a known polio survivor, Senator Mitch McConnell.
A CNN reporter has seriously put her foot in her mouth after making fun of Senator Mitch McConnell receiving assistance from the president while exiting up the stairs from the rose garden on the grounds of the White House.
In a completely tactless tweet, Daniella Diaz, sarcastically commented on the hand holding between President Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell as if the two were a happy couple grasping hands before exiting together. In reality McConnell is a known polio survivor and her comment has thoroughly enraged the American public and yet Diaz has refused to remove the comment as she clearly doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand the major faux pa she committed by mocking an elderly ill person on social media.
CNN political reporter Daniella Diaz sent a tweet on Monday pointing out that President Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell locked hands while walking up stairs at the White House following their Rose Garden press conference. Diaz seemed to be mocking the Republican duo – but while followers quickly pointed out that the Kentucky senator is a polio survivor, the tweet remains on her feed nearly 24 hours later.
“That hand-lock between Trump and McConnell, though,” Diaz wrote.
A CNN colleague called out Diaz, quoting her tweet and explaining the situation.
“McConnell is a polio survivor, a reason why stairs can be tricky at times,” CNN’s Senior Congressional Correspondent Manu Raju wrote. “McConnell often goes up a step at a time, sometimes needs railing for assistance. This time, used Trump for balance.”
Clearly her tactless behavior will extend as no apology or retraction seems to be of much importance to her. Once again a judgmental liberal proves how cold and heartless the party truly is.
