Users then began responding and attacking him for supporting President Donald Trump:
I am sorry he lost his daughter however he voted for Trump and is suffering the consequences of his actions now.

However, others jumped to the grieving father’s defense:
There are some really sad tweets on here. Regardless of this mans political beliefs, he lost his daughter. There are plenty of other outlets like our elected officials who can hear that sentiment versus a grieving father. Express your sympathies or click out. Show some class.

A man lost his daughter and you care about is a damn shirt
— Angrybird5533 (@angrybird5533) February 16, 2018
How is that unbelievable? He was searching for his daughter, had no idea whether she was alive or dead, just like so many other parents. His day started like any other day until that moment. So he should have changed his shirt before searching for his daughter? Wtf?

This tweet shows there are 2 types of people in this world some who don’t try to press there agendas when tragedies happen and those who make everything a political statement the latter can just screw off you’re part of the problem so stop

Politics aside, this father is morning the loss of his child and does not deserve this.
