After President Trump’s criticism of the NFL athletes who protested the national anthem, the league has been in a predicament ever since.
The NFL as quickly become one of the most disruptive and alienating brands in the United States. The ratings have dropped and professional football has sunk to a troublesome and upsetting all time low in the last three months alone.
Fans all over the nation have boycotted the league as ticket sales have plummeted.
In the public eye, the distracting and unruly behavior of NFL athletes has quickly lost America’s respect.

The league was already viewed as “anti-police” to many fans after former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick famously wore socks depicting cops as pigs, and the New Orleans Saints kneeled during a moment of silence for a slain police officer, but it just got even more extreme.
Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive lineman Malik McDowell was caught on tape taunting a female officer while he was in handcuffs. In the video published by TMZ Sports, McDowell is being handcuffed by a male officer while a female cop stood nearby.
While he was being arrested for disorderly conduct, McDowell screams at the cop, saying, “Are you scared of me?” several times and asks, “Why is you a cop then?”
After multiple words are exchanged back and forth between the two, McDowell calls here a “b***h” many times and even says, “I got money. That’s why I can talk sh*t.” He then goes on to say the officers will never make as much money as him.
Then, he screams at people passing by, saying, “Hey, they’re trying to plant some sh*t on me!” He goes on, saying: “Put me in f**king jail, please, so I can bond out.”
