Delta Is Doing Something INCREDIBLE for Both Pets and Humans Fleeing Hurricane Irma

Hundreds of pets were rescued after Hurricane Harvey and it appears Delta is trying their best to keep this from happening a second time with Hurricane Irma.

Delta is waving pet fees and other fees for people who are evacuating Florida because of hurricane Irma.Hurricane Irma pets

With the disaster that hit Houston, Texas from hurricane Harvey, Delta is making sure that no pet gets left behind this time in Florida with Hurricane Irma on it’s way. Many animals had to be rescued from the floods in Houston, just maybe the free ride from Delta will cut down on the amount of animals who will get hit by the hurricane.

IJR| Delta Airlines is offering free rides for pets who are able to fit inside the cabin by waiving their standard $75-$200 fees. They didn’t just stop there, however. They also waived fees for checked baggage and capped their flights to and from Southern Florida at $399 when prices would normally change with supply and demand and rise rapidly as the hurricane approached.

The waived fees apply to and from the following airports through September 12:

Brunswick, GA (BQK)

Charleston, SC (CHS)

Daytona Beach, FL (DAB)

Destin-Ft Walton Beach, FL (VPS)

Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL)

Fort Myers, FL (RSW)

Gainesville, FL (GNV)

Georgetown, BS (GGT)

This is great and a no brainer. EVERYONE, including business leaders need to help in such dire situations. Smart too, because guess who will be the airline of choice in good times?

Yes, the ones who helped out the most and didn’t use a disaster to make money.

I would have liked to see Delta’s ticket prices go down like Jetblue’s but we’ll take what we can get.

What has been your experience with the different airlines out there in Florida? Please share below! And keep praying for Florida and everyone else in Irma’s path.
