Do you honesty think that taking our guns away and creating gun free zones sounds like a good idea?
There is just no way that the idea of “gun free zones” could possible work. If you look close, almost every mass shooting in America has occurred in an area where guns are not allowed.
And you wonder why?
Well mass murderers are not stupid and use a lot of strategic planning before they kill. They know they can inflict the largest damage in an area where they are not threatened themselves.
A man named Rand Paul is tired of watching this same broken record play in our nation. Paul had decided to take a stand and do something about these shootings that are happening over and over again. He just proposed a bill that should change the course of the horrible killing spree in the U.S.. Many in America who are pro-guns are going to appreciate Rand Paul’s idea!
From Washington Examiner:
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., introduced legislation on Thursday that would repeal a 1990 law banning guns from school zones, a move that fits with his push to arm teachers and other school personnel so they can prevent school shootings like the one that took place in Florida last month.
Paul’s bill would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and all amendments to that law.
President Trump seems to agree with Paul and would probably sign this bill if it got to his desk. Here’s what Trump had to say on this issue at CPAC recently.
From The Hill:
According to excerpts of Trump’s speech released by the White House shortly before the president took the stage, Trump will call for “common-sense measures” aimed at reducing gun crimes. Part of that plan includes arming school officials — a strategy he’s warmed up to following last week’s deadly shooting at a Florida high school that left 17 dead and 14 others injured.
“When we declare our schools to be gun-free zones it just puts our students in more danger — well-trained, gun-adept teachers and coaches should be able to carry concealed firearms,” Trump will tell the crowd at CPAC, held just outside of Washington, D.C.
The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. That’s an undeniable fact. You’ll see far left sites like Vox and Mother Jones try to dismiss that theory. They are lying to you.
From Fox News:
A 2014 FBI report claims that only once between 2000 and 2013 did a concealed handgun permit holder stop a public shooting (they claimed to look at all cases where guns were fired in public that weren’t part of a gang fight or some other crime). This single case occurred in Winnemucca, Nevada in May 2008, when a customer with a permit fatally shot an attacker who had just killed two people. They didn’t even include the 2007 church shooting in Colorado Springs, where a killer had already taken two lives at the church before being stopped by a permit holder.
This false claim just shows how politicized the FBI became under the Obama administration. Many times, police, sheriffs, and prosecutors have gone on the record and credited permit holders with saving many lives. These attacks didn’t get national news attention, but they would have been on front pages everywhere if a permit holder hadn’t intervened.
There are countless examples of people using guns in self-defense at their homes or workplaces. But I want to focus on a much narrower set of cases where permit holders stopped public shootings. Here are 10 additional recent cases.
Props to Rand Paul on this one.
He’s 100% correct.
