The Noose Tightens As Senator Grassley Demands All The Communications Between Disgraced AD Attorney General Ohr & Christopher Steele

Someone Pinch Me … Dreams Do Come True!

Today, in an epic move, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley requested that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein surrender all documents having to do with former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr and his possible ties to the former British spy who created the infamous unverified Trump “dossier,” Christopher Steele.

Fox News reported, “In a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, requested Ohr’s emails, phone logs, written notes and text messages. Grassley also asked the Justice Department to arrange for Ohr to be interviewed by Committee staff.”

Senate investigators have been keeping an eye out for Ohr for a while now. He is suspected of possibly “serving as the cut-out” between Christopher Steele and the FBI after the relationship between the two ended.

Back in February, Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, was accused by House Intelligence Committee Republicans of having assisted the opposition research law firm, Fusion GPS, in digging up dirt on Donald Trump. Ohr was demoted last year from his former position of Associate Deputy Attorney General. This demotion came after it was found out that he had privately met with the opposition research firm’s founder, Glenn Simpson as well as Christopher Steele.

Fox News writes:

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee asked the Justice Department Monday to turn over communications between former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, British spy Christopher Steele and others about the infamous anti-Trump dossier.

In a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, requested Ohr’s emails, phone logs, written notes and text messages. Grassley also asked the Justice Department to arrange for Ohr to be interviewed by Committee staff.

Grassley wrote that he wants to know whether Ohr continued to pass information from Steele to others at the FBI after the bureau terminated the former MI6 man as a source for disclosing his relationship with the FBI to the media.

The infamous “dossier” (which remains unverified to this day) made claims having to do with Donald Trump’s business connections to Russia as well as damaging false claims about his personal life as well.

House Intel Republicans asserted in their memo that Steele and Ohr’s relationship was “inexplicably concealed from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC),” during the time that the FBI was attempting to get a FISA warrant for former Trump campaign official, Carter Page.

Fox wites, “In December, Fox News reported that Ohr had been stripped of his title of associate deputy attorney general and booted from his office near Rosenstein’s at Justice Department headquarters. The demotion came after it was revealed that he had conducted undisclosed meetings with Steele and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson.”

Only time will tell what will come of Grassley’s demands.
