President Trump spoke at the World economic forum occurring in Davos, Switzerland and caused quite the stir.
Rather than approach this gathering as Obama did for eight years, President Trump threw diplomacy out of the window and told it like it is. America first.
For too long America has played the diplomacy card, attempting to negotiate everything on a global level in order to secure the dream of world peace. Many times this so called ‘peace’ has come at the personal and financial sacrifices of the American people, and for what? To have every other foreign leader mock our resolve and question our capabilities? Not anymore.
President Trump defiantly took the stage in Davos and stared down his foreign peers to announce that America will be focusing on what’s best for AMERICA. Plain and simple, no more adhering to the wishes and wants of foreign dignitaries when they clearly have no concern for our wants and wishes. World politics is like a game that requires push AND pull.
“Leaders in business, diplomacy and world affairs have gathered here many many years to discuss how we can advance, security and peace… “I’m here today to represent the interests of the AMERICAN people”
“We are freeing our businesses and workers so they can thrive and flourish like never before… I believe in America. As President of the United States, I will always put America FIRST!”
